Dissociative Identity Disorder S2E8: The Other Side

Okay- so in this episode, a teen boy named Pierce is getting ready to compete in the academic decathlon when his teammates start getting killed. At first the evidence points towards his mother, but then it turns out it was him and he doesn't remember any of it. This is because his mother (a scientist/doctor) altered his DNA in utero to give him an "edge." This resulted in him having a very severe case of Dissociative Identity Disorder. One personality, Pierce, is a Genio Innocuo, a gentle, intelligent and rare wesen. But his other personality, due to his mothers interference, is a Lowen, who believes it is his job to make sure Pierce is the best, and was killing his teammates to wipe out the competition.  Now, what I want to know is, would Pierce have had DID had his mother not altered his DNA? Did she turn his alter into a Lowen, or did she split his mind, creating a Lowen alter, because the one personality cannot hold both wesen at once?  It's just so fascinating- I...

The Coins S1E13: Three Coins in a Fuchsbau

Ok - I feel like these coins have been a huge question since the day this episode came out. First and foremost, how the hell did that Fuchsbau swallow those coins?? I mean I know they killed him (probably because of all the damn radiation and stuff on them) but they're just too big to swallow!  I'm so fascinated by the effect these coins have on people. Not only do they make the person who has them feel like they need them, but they give them this confidence and anger. I mean right after Hank got them, they went to arrest Farley Kolt, and Hank is energetic, confident, feeling amazing and more aggressive than usual.  Then there's the captain! I always wondered if the effects and strength of the coin differed per type of person. Like a Kehrseite vs a regular Wesen vs a Grimm vs a Zauberbiest/Hexenbiest.  As we see throughout this show, things often effect these creatures differently so it makes sense this would also effect them differently.
